For me, it's either Vegas or the Northwestern game. And a weekend in Chicago is a lot cheaper than Vegas.

I'll be at the vegas game. Really wanted to see us play at Ark, but it is one or the other.

Ha ha, I am in this exact same predicament. I can't decide which one to go to. Why couldn't we play at UNLV in 2015...

so are you a fan of the team or a fan of vegas?

I would recommend to go to Arkansas! That stadium is nuts and the fan base! Youtube Arkansas games

If I had to choose between the two I'd pick Arkansas easy. I can go to Vegas practically anytime. I'd like to soak up the SEC atmosphere.

I think both is an acceptable answer to that question... I've been to a lot of great venues already, including SEC, and that's why I am torn. I do usually get to go to Vegas once a year for work and is why I'm leaning towards Arkansas. But, it would be great see NIU cardinal and black everywhere I turned out there. If I had to choose today, I guess it would be Arkansas.

I'm looking forward to going to Northwestern and UNLV back to back ! This non-conference schedule will be a challenge this year.

My wife is good with going to the UNLV game for our anniversary weekend but I just don't think we have the money to do it.

We will definitely go to the NU game.

The answer is approximately every 5 years. Bama 03, Tenn 08, Ark 14.

As for the trip, we are planning on taking a group of 5-10 people from Dallas and we are going to rent an RV, make the 5 hour drive much more fun.

HuskieJWN does NIU have an alumni chapter in Dallas. My bother lives there (Frisco) and he went to NIU.

To my knowledge it isn't "active" There are about 1,600 alumni in the DFW area, I'm in discussions with them to get it more active and running.

My brother and a few more NIU alum actually live in Frisco as well and I believe Yesman does too.

That's odd that there's a Rocket and a Huskie in the same family, how did that happen. I'd be more than willing to get your brother involved if NIU's alumni office ever returns emails in a timely fashion.

Those games bode well... beat Bama and lost a tough one in 2008 when English just went off...

HuskieJohn, It used to be fairly cheap to go to Vegas & stay there. Check into weekend specials...and look for cheap flights early.
We want to try & go...depends on what kind of deal we can get. It HAS to be cheaper than going to the Orange Bowl.
I think since you got to go to the Orange Bowl & she didn't... you need to take your lovely wife to Vegas. Start saving now for the trip. :-)

usually can get some cheap flights out of places like Rockford/Peoria on small airlines. Easy to find cheap hotel deals there.

It seems like most fans here are all over the place about the road games and their commitment. My input is as follows: if home games are pathetic take to the road! Vegas and Evanston are on the agenda for this hostilehuskie. SEC has my attention but vegas pools are calling.
