Good lord. I just saw that he got an extension today. He's been extended twice now and I wonder what they are paying him they've never said he was raised but you'd have to think so. Maybe he was using Charlotte for some leverage with our new AD.

Pretty sure that was a joke.

Pretty specific and imaginative "joke" then.

I don't know if that's true or not it's just odd that he would get an extension in the middle of the season as many years as he already was signed for unless something was going on with someone. Last time he got extended Penn State was after him.

Why the hell would our AD even consider hiring Lebo when she just gave Major an extension?

Hell if I know. I'm still trying to figure out why our new AD gave him more years in the middle of this season. It certainly seems like something was up somewhere.

lol. Lebo isn't Adonis but he STILL could do better than our AD. The winning coach part was just a joke, I get it.

It was a joke. Our season has gone to hell and we have to be thinking about a new coach, but it would not be Lebo. The Pirates love Lebo and I just wanted to incite a little panic. The timing of my comment and Lebo getting an extension did make for a funny coincidence though.

I would question your coach's dedication to winning if he considers sleeping with Judy a winning move.

RE: Charlotte @ ECU: The Hipster Version of Duke/UNC
I am going to turn back to real basketball stuff here. Tomorrow's game is about as insignificant as it gets from a basketball perspective. Charlotte has no post-season dreams, and I guess ECU can automatically go back to the CIT since they won last year, but it can't make anyone excited knowing that is the reason. The winner of this game will not impact conference standings in a meaningful way. We are playing for nothing.

The only thing that I find noteworthy is that this is ECU's last C-USA home game and probably the last basketball game they play for several years where the opponent cares enough to bring the hate. That is our job. Charlotte fans all have co-workers, neighbors, and friends that went to ECU so at least in theory we want to stomp you into the ground, but tomorrow you many not be able to notice. I am sorry that we cannot send you out with a better effort. I don't think anyone in the AAC will bring buses to Minges, or give you crap at work, or threaten your family. You will miss us.

On this occassion I could wish you the best in your new conference, but you would know I did not mean it. Let me just say that realignment is never over, and I wouldn't mind sharing a conference again. Enough sappiness. I hope you suck worse than we do tomorrow so you will have something to remember us by.

Enough to remember you by until next year, because you know full well that ECU is going to keep playing Charlotte and ODU every year OOC from now. Those are two close by D1 teams that ECU will definitely keep playing.

It might be beneficial to both schools but definitely not a given.

It will be from ECU's standpoint. It is pretty simple; play Charlotte and ODU or play D2's. In fact if I recall correctly either this year or last year ECU had to play a D2 team, because they had a game against ODU which had to be cancelled because they (ODU) was joining CUSA. I can't imagine that ECU wouldn't do all that they could to keep Charlotte and ODU as OOC foes.

ECU has played Appy State and ODU so I am pretty sure that Charlotte will eventually show up on the football schedule too. Hell once Charlotte's team is up and running I am pretty sure that every ACC and SEC school in the area will want to play the 49ers; so Charlotte's OOC will not be hard to fill.

I hope we keep playing every year. There is no reason not to for either school. While the AAC will probably the end of D2's coming into Minges, it isn't going to get ACC schools to start scheduling home and home's with ECU.

I'm a fan of playing any of the large in state schools OOC simply because they generate more interest than playing a low-major from another state.

The only ACC schools that I can see coming to ECU to play basketball are Wake Forest, Clemson and VT. NCSU will probably never play at ECU again, because they can not be sure that they will not lose again. UNC will never play at ECU. I don't know about Duke or UVA, but I doubt that they would.

Since ECU basketball seems to have a problem leaving their general area to play OOC games, then it is almost a no brainer that Charlotte and ODU will remain on the schedule. Hell ECU even put UNC-Wilmington back on the schedule so you know that Charlotte and ODU will stay.

Yeah I'm sure you guys can get someone like Wake, Clemson, or VT. Probably even FSU, Miami, and GT.

Charlotte was able to get all of those schools except VT into Halton or TWC Arena during our tenure in the A10. No reason ECU can't do the same in the AAC.

We've had....

Georgia
West Virginia
Ol Miss
Virginia Tech
Clemson
Wake
NC State
Seton Hall (snowed out)

In the last 15 years, and didn't even play D2's before that. I don't know why our schedules have been as bad as they are the last few years.
