MyBB Conference Power Rankings
I'm sure many here have heard a few disparaging remarks about the American Athletic Conference... Well, here's a more rational reflection of the merits of the AAC:

per Real Time RPI:

1. Big 12
2. Big 10
3. AAC
4. ACC
5. Big East
6. P12
7. SEC
8. A10
9. Mountain West
10. Missouri Valley

The next time some ACC, Pac-12, Big East, or SEC apologist starts trashing The American, just send them to the link below:

Yep, and the bottom 5 are like average to bad SEC teams.

I'm not sure the $EC is better than the 3 conferences they are ahead of, no joke.

Likely not as good as A10. MVC is pretty weak w/ just Creighton.

I think you meant:
...MVC is pretty weak without Creighton.

or

...MVC is pretty weak w/ just Wichita State.

I wouldn't have noticed if was about any conference other than the Missouri Valley. Having been stuck living here in Shocker-ville for the past 22 years, it's become hard not to notice the acronym MVC!

More embarrassing for me, with my username and all.

RE: Conference Power Rankings
So what's the difference between power ranking and RPI rankings? We are #8 in RPI as a conference and 3 as power rankings.

The RPI conference ranking is highly influenced by a conference's OOC win-loss record, and whether they play a balanced or unbalanced conference schedule.

By the end of the season, the AAC could move to 7th or 6th. We've made up a lot of ground in the past week. (Cut the difference between 8th and 6th in half.)
