John Potter, Detroit Lion?
With David Akers released, John Potter and another kicker are lead candidates to try and win the spot.

Go Broncos.

"Mayhew said he expects kickers John Potter and Giorgio Tavecchio to compete for the job after signing futures deals this offseason, though the club could pursue veterans in free agency." -mLive

RE: John Potter, Detroit Lion?
The youngsters were signed the same day Schwartz was fired.

I was thrilled when our daughter informed nagymama and nagypapa of the signing.

Hope he makes it this time.

Last season, he scored 8 points against the Lions in a losing effort by the Redskins. Would love to see him score a lot more points in the future FOR the Lions.

You don't have to tax your imagination to know the two previous seasons have been a heck of an adventure for John. Here's hoping the adventure upgrades!

Potter brings a lot of comfort to special teams on kick offs. They all go out of the end zone.

Even though I'm a born 'n bred Packer Backer and shareholder - hope Potter makes the Fighting Fords and has a long, successful career!

Make 'em forget Jason Hanson.

One former Bronco kicker to another.

Good luck to John.

Best way to make the NFL as a kicker (or punter) is to make the coaches not worry about the kicking game.
