Does the first row sports stream all the time?
This is the first time I have been able to get one of the streaming sites to work well for me. I would can direct tv if I could have that success every time. What has been your experience with the live streaming sites?

You do realize they are "pirate" sites, right? They are streaming illegally. Not going to debate that, just pointing it out in case anyone wasn't clear. That's why those sites disappear and reappear periodically, because they get shut down.
That said, it's a crap shoot what you will or will not get. Realize that those are just folks with a slingbox or some kind of hookup like that at home, sending the signal over the Internet to a site like firstrow, allowing others to simultaneously view it too. Sometimes the quality is superb, but most of the time it's maybe a little bit better than the jumbotron feed. Depends on the streamer's equipment and connection, too.
And beware of downloading anything from those sites. Some are legit software, but most are not. Don't take a chance if you aren't 100% sure. I have the best luck with the serious site (I forget the exact name - look in the game thread for it). You don't have to download anything, even if they indicate that you should. Just close any popup boxes, go full screen, and enjoy.

I did not realize that the site was illegal. Thanks for the info. I would not mind paying for the games. I am at a point in my life where I watch very little TV. The Tigers are the only reason that I keep direct. Just looking for a way out.

RE: Does the first row sports stream all the time?
They are illegal because they are re-broadcasting copyrighted material without permission. But they do serve a purpose for those of us without access. I gave up "tv" years ago, and now I only subscribe to Netflix to get my movie fix and sometimes catch up on some decent tv shows I might have missed in the last couple of decades or so. If it weren't for friends/family with tv access to most games, streaming is the only chance I get to watch the Tigers.
If the only reason you subscribe to Direct is for Tigers games, then yes, you can probably ditch it and watch the live streams online - or hook up your tv directly to your computer and watch that way.
