If Memphis would have spanked UT in Maui like they did in Memphis, Stokes probably would have took the TSSAA ruling on the chin and finished out his senior year of high school. It's real hard to justify going to a school that your hometown team spanks. And keep in mind that Pastner was still "unproven" then (MUCH more so than now).

Stokes always viewed himself as a "Baby Carmelo" (for whatever reason), and I really think that Maymon's huge game made Stokes think that UT was the system for him(or was at least an adequate system and team).
