Lumber, the funny thing is it was your post a week or so back (during the snow storms) I was remembering when I mentioned they had tried a few times. I just could not remember where I saw it or I would have linked your original post. Add that to the last few years, and there you go

If you have been to Hartford (I have), and you have been to Louisville (I have) then you know there is no comparison. Hartford is cold and dead, at any time of the year. I can't think of a single attraction in Hartford/Storrs for the traveling fan unless it's somehow tacked on to NYC or Boston.

Hartford today is like Charlotte was 25 years, dull and deadly boring. But that's a personal opinion.

Since we've moved on from UCONN to knocking Hartford and the state of Connecticut (because it's so cold and dead to you)...

Connecticut residents have this thing called lots-of-money. You'll find us often in the Hamptons or Martha's Vineyard or on the beaches in Florida. In short, we don't need tourists to boost our state and individual wealth. We already have it. Connecticut isn't a tourist destination - it's a gated community.

I'll leave you with this...

“People will always talk about you, especially when they envy you and the life you live. Let them... you affected their lives, they didn't affect yours.”

I think we should go to 10-team conferences across the board- w/two conferences allied to provide a championship game and thus access to the play-off.

Being a giant cold cul de sac with a long commute to work is nothing to brag about.

No wonder you wanted to join the ACC. 04-cheers

As a non-Louisville fan, I like their move to the ACC. Culturally they fit well and will only boost the conference's athletic profile. Not just football and basketball, but also men's soccer, baseball, everything really.
