Quick translation - I'm getting out in front of lobbying for an at large bid in case I don't win the tournament.

Well, gee. Listened to Coach Cal and Pastner do it every year at Memphis to pimp for a higher seed so I had experience. Didn't bother listening to the link, but I'm sure it was very interesting.

Glad to see you're stepping up to try and be the board jerk with ECU fans leaving. You're off to a great start.

If teams like Marshall weren't horrible this year, he wouldn't have to lobby for the league.

...and you're right, selling the media is a problem

Heck, someone needs to stick up for the conference.
No one else is bothering to do so.
You won't ever see Britt "Let everyone destroy C-USA, as long as I have a job" Banowsky" promoting the conference.
The guy's like Punxsutawney Phil, only surfacing once a year in public.
The new ex-Sunbelt schools are probably giddy over the guy, but they'll soon find out.

Seriously, I think the most impressive thing about Banowsky is that he's managed to stay employed for so long.

The ability to maintain a high-profile and normally heavily scrutinized position for this amount of time despite being abject failure in every measurable way and appearing completely disinterested is remarkable.

DT was begging people to show up Saturday in the post game last night....deservedly so...

I love his passion....that's what matters to me

DT is an ambassador in more ways that one...Britt on the other hand.....will leave open ended....

RE: Tyndall: C-USA an underrated league
I'm sure somewhere a coach in the MEAC is saying the same thing, it's all relative. The think that's going to be trouble trying to sell is that this is a 16 team league and it's looking more and more like 1 NCAA and now probably one NIT bid this year in the best case scenario. You look the last few years and the at large NCAA teams from CUSA had be top 35 RPI and the NIT teams top 60 even when it was a top 10 conference.

What exactly did I say that makes you think I'm unhappy? More importantly, what did I say that wasn't correct?

Glad to see you still like hanging out on the CUSA board. Remind you good times when you were 1st in the conference standings? Here, do something fun, go Google AAC basketball 2014 standings. You get two hits before every other one assumes you meant ACC.
