While the media tries hard to have people believe Pope Francis I is a liberal Pope, in order to contrast him with the previous Popes Blessed John Paul II and Benedict XVI, the difference is not doctrinal or dogmatic, but merely that Pope Francis is more pastoral in his pontificate while the others were much more intellectually and philosophically able.

Pope Francis is just as theologically sound as his predecessors, and does not disagree with their stances on any aspect of the Catholic faith and teachings, merely how he chooses to present his duty as a pastoral head of his religion on earth. He condemns the sins as wrong still, but invites all to become part of the community of Catholics and learn the teachings of Christ so they might endeavor to become better people if they choose to take up the opportunity.

No, anathema. This, by way of the Catholic Catechism. There are a lot of cursed Catholics out there, I'd say 100% because if you ever read it you'd know that you didn't follow at least one canon. That makes you anathema by the church.

He had to find a VP that would make him look brilliant. There weren't many democrats that fit that bill. Biden, Howard Dean, Shelia Jackson Lee were the only ones that Obama could look down on.

Obama needed to be the straight man in this comedy. You know, ala Martin and Lewis, Abbot and Costello, Rowan and Martin, well, you get the picture.

Obama picked Biden to secure the valuable Trans Am owners vote.
