Chose SMU over offers from Baylor/Mizzou/SDSU/KSU/BC and fellow AAC schools Memphis/UConn.

thanks. Kid plays on the Compton Magic AAU team, great handles and 6'2' with room to grow into his body (add weight).

His dad played at SDSU, and I know he was on UCLA's radar as well - but Larry got him to leave the West Coast.

Right after he committed, he tweeted 5 star C Elijah Thomas (#6 player in '15 class) about it. Hmmmmm.....

First time I've heard the kids name. I don't think we were recruiting him very hard.

Doesn't sound like he was Memphis / UConn good.

It's another good pickup for SMU.

Yeah, i always wonder about committable offers when I read rivals/scout...but I think he has been a heavy SMU lean for some time. I know LB went to see him in Cali a long while ago.

Same here. I think our focus for 2015 has turned to the big men.

Yeah, don't you guys have two guards committed for 2015 including #39 PG Turtle Jackson?? Also have Sam Cassell Jr and Rodney Purvis (5 Star NC St Transfer) who are both combo guards.

I don't recall Memphis recruiting this guy, and if he truly had an offer, I doubt it was commitable. Not dissing him, just trying to clarify.

Lets see, Brown and SMU have already beaten Memphis, UConn, and Cincinnati this year and the recruits already on board. I see them winning the conference next year.

Main point is for the first time ever SMU basketball is cash flow positive. Advertising rates have skyrocketed, increased attendance and higher donations have helped.

Now it's time for Cougar King to turn this into a Memphis pissing match.
