When I first moved back to the area I really wanted to get caught up on the Tigers. The only sports talk show I knew about was 560 and I managed to find Rainmain. After about 2 weeks of daily listening ( I know, I know) it wasn't sports radio. The last day I listened he was talking about having Bill Gates private internet access where he could send his NFL picks. I haven't listened since.

I honestly had no idea State was on 730. Thinking about it, I guess they'd have to be via process of elimination, but how strong of a signal is that? Does it cover the entire metro area? I remember when Vernon was on there, I don't think you could pick it up that well everywhere.

I brought up Rainman to my son on the phone last night and he said don't you remember the time we showed up for the scramble he was promoting on his show and we got out to Stonebridge and no one was there who knew anything about a scramble? Forgot about that.

It was probably like his "rib bets..." He probably doesn't arrange it, hopes a group shows up and goes to the front of the business for the event.

From my understanding, his checkbook is rubber so it's probably hard for him to do business with anyone.

Do all his "contests" still end in a tie?
