Community College is a much better route. There are all kinds of programs that offer training in high pay, high demand fields. My local state CC has a laser program with a almost 100% job placement rate with starting salaries between 40 and 60k. You can also save a ton of money by getting the first two years of undergraduate work done there and transferring to a four year university.

ITT's two year programs are not terribly bad if you take them for what they are.

Dont know about that, Bull... one of the guys at my company basically remarked that their ITT graduation was based on basically being able to start and do basic maintenance on Windows and that was it.

Of course, he was an idiot in his own right for taking out 80K worth of loans for ITT's schools.

No......Torch is a Bowling Green grad - and Bowling Green and Toledo folks mix about like oil and water. The two schools are 20 miles apart and are in the same athletic league. For example, at UT's football stadium they have an old rocket..........pointed, they say, at Bowling Green.

good advice for sure. Many state universities have arrangements with CC's that allow one to transfer in after 2 years.

Well, FWIW before I was married with kids I had a second job as an adjunct instructor for some night classes (UNIX / Networking) and I can assure you "just turning it on" did not pass muster in my class.

I passed about 80% of the kids in the class the other 20%, well they thought if you could just turn it on you should pass..

ITT can create some decent technitions. Not any engineers mid you but folks who can really help the engirneers out by shaving off the easy work. But the commercials about the aesome lifestyle ITT would afford you were complete BS..

Exactly what I figured. I didn't really understand the question at first and checked Torch's "Root for" and got a chuckle.
