Seth Davis is correct that it does depends on the matchups (who we play) and anyone around here or elsewhere already predicting a quick exit for the tigers without even knowing who they are going to play don't know what they are talking about.

Nobody thinks we suck. However, we should be considered a S16 dark horse. We can play to the wire with just about anybody, but have trouble closing against S16 caliber teams.

Louisville and Gonzaga. Yea we can't close against sweet 16 teams. We can close against those type of teams but like in those types of games it's who had the ball last type of game

This team could lose in the first round or go to the Final Four. No NCAA floor or ceiling at this point in my opinion.

We will be more battle tested than any Tigers team in recent memory. This AAC conference is legit.

Memphis is a dangerous team. Scarry if solid point production and rebounds are coming from the post, ie 25 points, 18 rebounds per game.

As fans, we can only hope that come Tourney time, the guys bring their extra vitamin "D" with them to every minute of every game! I, for one, believe they will get it done and give us some solid memories to be enjoyed for years to come.

I am with you. I also hope they remember Saturdays game, if that doesn't get them going, nothing will.

We have no NBA caliber players. That makes it very difficult to get to the final four. Almost everyone that gets there has 1 or 2, at least. We do not have a player that we're sure is NBA material.

However, we have 4 senior guards who have seen the NCAAs before. We have several big men that have shown they can hold their own against some pretty good front courts and we have depth, not as much as we originally thought, but more than almost anyone else.

So, sweet sixteen is pretty solid, elite eight could definitely happen. The final four would take some great 3 point shooting and some luck, like us or somebody else upsetting a 1 and/or 2, but it could happen. I think we have a great shot at beating anyone with a 4 seed or lower.

What does this mean, exactly? Memphis has played stout defense in both the UConn game and the Gonzaga game. We held UConn to under 40% shooting in their own building, and kept them almost completely off the offensive glass. The incredibly lopsided FT's were the only thing that kept them from getting completely blown out in their own building.

But Memphis doesn't play perfect on every defensive possession, if that's what you mean. There may only be one or two teams that even come close to that.

We likely are not to get a good matchup in the first round, we haven't since Josh has been here. We could take care of that. First it was no respect because of CUSA and now we are middle of the pack, but upper middle, of The American. The NCAA likes to get cute with match ups.
