Anyone making the short trip to that dump of a college just down south a little ways? I bought my two tickets the day UT started selling them. Game is going to be on national television so I hope the Rockets bring a nice following. I'd like to think bgsuCKS would be able to fill up their small arena for a big game.

I'll be there. UT said they received 500 tickets to sell. If they can sell all of them, that would be 1/8 UT fans.

I got mine Friday after 4pm and the guy said they had 1 left.

As far as arenas go, BG made a big mistake building a 4,000 seat arena. That just says there's no way they move up or have big crowds if there are great teams. You can't compare the Stroh Center to Savage. Beautiful weight room when you walk in the building, suites and special seating to generate revenue for years to come, glassed in restaurant overlooking the floor, center-hung scoreboard like every major arena has, 7,300 seats, multiple elevators, glassed-in stairs, coaches office looking over the arena, room for easy expansion to 10,000 plus...

There was nothing to justify building more than its current 4,700 seats. BG is still a small town. AA sat close to 5,000 and seating was never a problem in my 35+ years of following the program. Also, BG has no delusions of "moving up" like you guys.

And the Stroh has plenty of amenties suitable for the small town needs. It has the Anderson Club for parties of 70-100 and is an additional source of revenue. It has a practice gym as well. The athletic training facility is right across the way in the Sebo Center and is only a few years old.

Actually there are quite a few ways to get into the parking areas. Seems only TU fans are the only ones that have trouble with it. Might have to get the same people that coordinate traffic out of the North/Bancroft Parking Garage to come down and teach us Wood County folks the proper way to move traffic.
