RE: SMU @ Temple
Do we want Temple to win to potentially improve our standing in AAC, or do we want SMU to win so that our loss to them doesn't look that bad?

RE: SMU @ Temple
While SMU may not be ranked by the time we play them, as long as they are top 50 RPI it will be helpful for our seeding

RE: SMU @ Temple
SMU has two very winnable games left at home vs Houston and UCF. The other 3 games are against ranked teams, only one at home.

Im not sure if beating Houston and UCF alone will be enough to assure them an NCAA bid. I think if they lose the other 3 and lose first round of AAC, they are NIT bound. They need 1, and only 1 other game outside the 2 above to get a bid

As many have been saying, SMU isn't the same team outside of their home floor. Those miserables talking about a Tiger loss agsinst SMU at the forum don't know what they are talking about

Obviously. But you know, Temple is a good team, they're well coached and they have a couple of guys that can really play. I'm just amazed that Temple hasn't won more games.

RE: SMU @ Temple
We lost to SMU.

They were better that day. Especially for about a 12 minute stretch when they went from Memphis leading by 8 to SMU leading by 20. A horrific strecth that Memphis never recovered from.

They are also pretty good- with wins over Cindy and the Referee aided Napier ball lickers (my new name for UConn).

With the above as qualifiers.

We will roll them next month. Twice if needed. We are a better team.

If you ever followed Temple basketball, even in a down year, we can beat anyone and we can lose to anyone.
