Just saw Nolan and Palm projected brackets.
Nolan: Cincy 2 seed, Louisville 5, SMU 10, Memphis 9, UConn 7.
Palm: Cincy 2 seed, Louisville 5, SMU 11, Memphis 6, Uconn 6.
Needless to say, I like Jerry Palm's bracket a whole lot better than Nolan's. But it's still early. Tigers can play themselves into a better position or a worse one. I'm betting they do pretty good from here out.

We better finish strong or it's another quick exit.

RE: Bracketology
Well, whatever, but with our seeding and wanting to stay away from that 8/9, we can't afford a slip-up. If we take care of business with UL and SMU, maybe drop Cincy on the road, and then play for the conference tourney championship, we're probably a 6/7 again, maybe a 5, depending on other factors. I think that's reasonable, but by no means easy or guaranteed. We're very beatable at home by a good team. ENTIRELY possible we lose to UL (playing much better right now). I'd be shocked if we lose at home to SMU though.

Nolan's has had us as a 9 seed for what seems like weeks now. I don't get the 9 seed prediction.

I haven't looked at the total bracket for Palm, but for the AAC teams listed above I think he has it nailed.

RE: Bracketology
9 is low, we really need to win all the rest to get a good seed. But 7,8,9,10 have to play 1 or 2 in the second round. We had a 6 last year, didn't help much, remember? And 5s get upset by 12s all the time. 3 of the 4 twelves beat the 5s last year.
So, what I am saying is it just doesn't matter much. A win is a win and if you beat a higher seed, in essence, you steal their seed.
Bring it on!

i'm fully expecting a quick exit. if they do make a run, it will be a pleasant and welcomed surprise.
