Nick Van Exel Redux?
I guess I could take losing to Napier 4 times if we make it to the Elite 8. But it sure seems eerily similar. We can't stop this guy. (I know, he does get help from the refs on occasion.)

Thus statement shows one of two things either or fans just aren't that smart or they really don't pay attention to games.

Boatwright had a whopping 7 points against us in the first game. That's not exactly lighting us up as you so claim he did

Napier is really good.

Fouls made him great.

Fouls and non fouls allowed the win.

Point taken; he didnt score 20+ but, if I recall (and i was at the game), he made a few plays that gave uconn a spark they needed before the end of the half hitting that 3 ptr in the corner to give uconn some momentum.

I will take my chances against them in the AAC tournament. I don't feel he will dominate us again, play decent yes, but dominate no. Also, Napier is good but not Van Excel good in my opinion.

At this point, I agree. I remember after hitting another three, Van Excel standing at center court of the packed and rowdy Pyramid with both arms in the air begging the Memphis crowd to get all over him. I was wanting to hate him, but I also remember thinking, he may be small, but that bug-eyed bastard sure does have some big ****s.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has been Van Exel good against the Tigers. He spent 2 years driving dagger after dagger into my chest, we were 1-6 vs Nick. One player I loved to hate, but would have killed to have on my team.

This puts your view of the officiating into proper perspective. You have no idea what you're watching.

Also, i never said he was "lighting" it up as you claimed i had said but i see your point. It wasnt the fact that he only scored 7 pts. Have a good day!

You thought the refs were fine and you thought 7 points on 2-7 shooting was dominant. Seems fairly consistent.

Unfortunately DeAndre Daniels ALSO killed us in THIS game!

His two "blocks"* changed the outcome of the game.

*Block #1 was really a foul on Shaq that wasn't called.
*Block #2 led to the ball bouncing out of bounds, in which Uconn stepped out saving it (also NOT called) that led to a Uconn 3.

So, yeah... Daniels killed us in this game as well.

He did, but if my memory is correct, we couldn't stop Napier from making shots to close out the game.

Van Axel's team beat our 1992 team without receiving fellatio from the referees so they were more impressive.
