Interesting play happened when the puck wound up on top of the cage and a Canadian player hit down on the netting and bounced the puck up and it fell to the back of the goaltender and into the goal.

Usually when that happens the Ref will yell at the players to brush the puck off the top or the goalie will cover it with his glove. Neither happened here but the goal was waved off due to the puck was played with a high stick. About 15 years ago the rule was changed as to what constituted a "high stick". It used to be the shoulder height of the player making the play meaning everyone was different and a nightmare for the Ref. Now a high stick is any that is above the crossbar no matter where on the ice making the call today easy.
