OK, Houston Owls: I organized the watch parties for the baseball regional back in May. Who can step up and do something similar for Sunday's Rice-Stanford game?

A conference room at a reasonably modern office would be perfect. Alternatively, one could connect a computer to a big-screen TV (I would be happy to lend my HDMI cable for this purpose).

If one person can organize watch parties for several consecutive days drawing nearly 50 people each time, surely someone else can organize a one-time get together for (probably) a dozen or so people.

Well, that didn't take long. McMurtry College has volunteered to host a viewing in their private dining room (PDR). It's on the second floor, above the servery. The closest door is the one by the Master's house.

Bring your own refreshments!

Driving & parking:
- Take Entrance 23 from Rice Blvd and park near Abercrombie Lab, or
- Take Entrance 1 or 2 from Main St and park in the Founder's Court visitor lot (what we used to call the Physics lot, back when Physics was there).

And congrats to the students for showing us alums/fans a thing or two about spirit!

Can't make it today sorry. But I'm just curious and using this thread to pose this question. Has the city of Houston ever honored Coach Graham with a Wayne Graham Day (I know the Rice baseball team got one in 2003 but has Wayne received individual attention)? It seems like they should do it for sure after win #1000, whether it's today or in the next few days.

It seems the game might be streaming live and gratis on the Stanford TV feed.

The game Tuesday is once in a life time event for Rice. I hope there is a sellout. Couch Graham deserves such respect. I hope the student body will be out in force for such an event.

Snicker snicker.

But seriously, I agree with OldOwl - This is huge and would love to see people come out in droves. Unfortunately, am out of the country now, or I would be there to see it.
