I'm not buying the unhealthy excuse. You have a lot of players who have played a lot of minutes this year. Any D1 player should be able to shoot and make something sometimes. This is totally embarrassing. But this is typical. Try and force the ball inside no matter how many times you lose a possession. SOS.03-banghead

Is that a trick question?

The unhealthy excuse explains it in this case. Our offense is completely built around Will. If he is not in there it throws things out of kilter. I am not saying that is a good formula, but it is the one we have.

There are not many teams, who can lose a player who is clearly the best on the team, and not drop off significantly. We played on emotion on Thursday night. That was great. But we didn't have much left 36 hours later.

As I have said. All you learn from losing is how to lose. It's not original. I heard some famous coach say it. I can't recall who it was. Maybe Knute Rockne?04-cheers

We have underachieved this season, and some of that has to rest on Steve. But unless players are not in condition, the injury situation is out of anyone's control. We just seem to be snakebit this year.

Here is a thought. Let coach Shields take a short vacation before the Tournament. We have 4 games left before the tournament. Let Coach Kleine coach one, Coach Lee Coach one, Coach Cunningham coach one and Coach Crass coach one and then Steve comes back for the Tournament and use the coaching strategy that works best.

I feel certain Steve and Chris would be agreeable to this.04-cheers

Texas State only had 14 at the end of the first half tonight.

Looks like you guys were just a little pissed after your loss on Saturday. 68-41; nice bounce back. A loss may have been just what your team needed to regain focus heading into March.

My thoughts as well.
