Also, if you go to the gostanford.com site, there is a link for live streaming. I used a similar link last night to watch WBB vs. ASU. Not the best video, but it is better than nothing.

Video quality isn't bad. Did they say Ray Charles was the umpire behind the plate? That could be problematic.

back to back singles by Stainback and Cook to start the game for Rice. The Stanford pitcher seems to just have average stuff (at least his fastball is nothing special it appears - his change-up looked decent).

Bases loaded with 2 out... and a nice grab of Byrd's liner to CF ends the Owl threat.

Need to use Photon or some other browser to get around the lack of Flash if you want to watch on IPad...but works OK.

Would have been nice to have gotten the big hit there from Byrd but looks like we should hit this guy fairly well.

No score after 1. We certainly hit the ball harder than Stanford (Fox got them 1-2-3 on three softly hit balls). Nice to see some batters for Rice with some beef on them.

Stanford announcers much better than ours.

Absolutely. But I'll let Stanford win the off-the-field battle (announcing and video quality) if we win the series.

I think that is 43 pitches through the walk to Warren.

Kind of reminiscent of past years. 2 innings. Five LOB.

Frustrating not to get the hit we need, but good to get the chances. Have to keep the pressure on.

Nice throw by Reeves on a caught stealing ends the 2nd. Still no score.

Very nice throw by Reeves to gun down runner and end inning.

Ewing leads off the 3rd with a double to the wall. He looks impressive - might be our best true power hitter in a long time.

It's definitely better than two years ago, when Stanford had a student working the first game. The kid was absolutely shocking; youth was not an excuse.

I've gotten accustomed to JP, and I've come to associate his presentation style with Rice athletics. At the very least, he's better than most at this level.

BTW, adidas has ruined our uniforms. Inexcusable.
