Get to know Coach Ruff McNeil, share a clip with your coach
Slow day, so I thought I would post a video about Ruff and share why I think he is so important to ECU football. Coach Ruff has quickly become a very important brand identifier for ECU. In this 2 clip you can see why his players love playing for him and why we are able to get a surprise recruit here and there. The best part is in the last minute, where Ruff is in the locker room dancing with his players after the Ohio win.

Ha, ha, I can see from the lack of comments that I have unintentionally posted the Homer post of the month. Yikes, I have officially become "that guy" with this post.

On a related note, here's an interview with Ruff about the 2014 class, including a bit about the McKinney flip at 10:40.

Ruff is a real gem of a man. Meeting and talking with him at at the Carteret County Pirate Club Armada this past Spring was a real treat. He signed my football and sure enough handed it to me and gave me a big ole bear hug. He's a great guy and I'm proud to have him at the helm of our program. It's no wonder we are showing the success we are because that kind of positivity breads success. Homer post or not, the man is family and I'm proud of him.
