My take is there has been a persistent minority expressing disdain for the schedule and in effect (IMHO) discouraging others from attending games at PBS. In my opinion, we need to change the dialogue. What we should be saying is that we have been given a schedule that is challenging enough and if things break the right way (win 3 of 4 OOC games, beat OSU or Miami, FL); we will win the AAC conference and should be in the Access Bowl. That is the persistent drumbeat for me.
But of course if I see any more dialogue that whines and complains like a child, there will be scolding and insults to come03-nutkick

Well, I do agree with that much 04-bow Our schedule is what it is, and there is no point in lamenting what we cannot control.

RE: FB Attendance Challenge
One thing I haven't seen discussed is opposing team's fans and their contributions to attendance numbers for UC's home games. Outside of UL last season, the opposing teams didn't bring any numbers with them. This has been a problem for years - even during the Big East years (minus WVU and UL of course). The travel distances and quite frankly the poor performers will never bring large number of fans with them - thus the attendance numbers are primarily all UC fans (which is good, it proves that the fan base has grown). Don't expect any difference next season - but I am optimistic that Toldeo, ECU and Memphis will bring more people than UConn, Temple, SMU did last season.

I'm not sure how next season will go with attendance numbers, but should that really matter? It's a one-off season where I'm sure UC will take it's attendance hits, but in the long run playing at the "new" Nippert will be worth one season of down numbers.

I don't need to be challenged to attend games next season, I've missed 3 home games since 92 - I'll be down at PBS cheering on my team.
