You guys have an excellent chance to get to the Elite 8 or Final 4...just like Cuse...don't sell your team short...they are great rebounders, play tenacious defense and if Patterson gets hot...you can beat anybody in the country.

I appreciate your graciousness and I wish it were true but it's not. Losing Durand Johnson, our only legitimate outside shooter other than Patterson, has absolutely killed us. It has probably cost us at least two additional wins (including tonight) and it will kill us in the NCAA's as well. We just can't score well enough for a team that is not very big and isn't tremendous defensively.
When push comes to shove, teams just deny Patterson the basketball and nobody else on the team is capable of scoring when the opposing teams do over-commit to stop Patterson.
Pitt needed one basket down the stretch tonight and we just couldn't get it. Now, part of that credit belongs to Syracuse and that must be acknowledged. However, we have lost several games this season at the wire and for basically the exact same reason. One would have to be completely nuts to not expect this shortcoming to rear its ugly head again in March. I would be very pleasantly surprised if we made it out of the first weekend. We're simply not that good.

How many games have you been blown out in?
You guys will end up a 3-7 seed IMHO...you'll have your shot to make it to the 2nd weekend. Like for any team...you'll need a few breaks and a clutch shot or two. If a 9 seed UConn can win it all...so can Pitt.

It was a tough loss for Pitt. It was an amazing win for Syracuse. Syracuse is not as good as last years team. I don't know how exactly we are doing it. They make plays at the end when they need to. But what the hell let it ride...

BTW, Husky the ACC fans haven't embraced Cuse yet...it'll take a few years.
This is a first for me. I disagree with TexanMark. I think most ACC fans have embraced Syracuse & Pitt and are glad to have them on board. Yes, there are a few, very vocal, fans that might say otherwise, but only a few.
I think most of the threads here are started by SU or Pitt fans and I'm guessing they were glued to their TVs for that awesome game.

Well the big games should have threads...
Just answering the question in the title. Feel free to start threads about whatever you want as far as I'm concerned.
