Nice job by the university to shut down the wrestler that tweeted about Michael Sam.

Well that's one opinion.......

And before the bigot, homophobic, etc. comments come out, I'm Pro Gay rights, but I despise the PC culture that we live in. I would love to go back to the days where TV shows like All in the Family (Archie Bunker) could be played.

RE: Wrestling
Now the 2 top Wrestlers on the team are not in the lineup, the finish to this season ought to be interesting.

RE: Wrestling
I haven't heard anything different since I read earlier that Miller will be bak for the MAC tournament. I really hope that Wheeler's suspension is lifted before the tournament. If both happen, we will be fine. It's all about the NCAA tournament and how we do in it.

RE: Wrestling
This Sunday, we wrestle Iowa State as part of the NWCA National Duals hosted by Ohio State. The matches begin at 1:00. The bracket is here:

If we can knock off Iowa State, we would probably have a re-match with the Buckeyes.

I agree we live in a PC culture now, but I hate to see the negative press for KSU. Will be interesting how this is handled in the future when you have stuff like Northwestern Football becoming a union and claiming themselves as employees.

RE: Wrestling
I'm sorry but what he said goes far beyond any "PC culture." He used deplorable, highly offensive slurs while as a representative of our school.

Now, having said that, it was an ill-timed, thoughtless rant in which no one was physically hurt and no laws were broken. He should miss a competition or two or three but that is about it.

RE: Wrestling
I think he was sick of the wall to wall coverage on ESPN (it was ridiculous to the point that Sam was probably embarrassed. If NFL teams decide to pass on him it will because of the four letter network not because he is gay). If Wheeler would have thought a bit he would have cussed out who he was really mad at but he made a foolish mistake.

Well All in the Family has been on several networks the past decade though currently it is on Antenna TV.

Granted it did have a long run on Nick at Night and TV Land but I don't think it plays on either. Granted I think that may have to do more with its age. Nick at Night in particular has been getting rid of older shows left and right last time I watched that network.

RE: Wrestling
If Wheeler made millions and had 1000s of kids looking up to him and bought his jersey there'd be less backlash for beating his woman unconscious than texting a dumb tweet.
