Don't both teams have to figure out how to beat the Broncos to even get to the title game?

I think one of them has. We'll see if I'm right.

Better odds of meeting before the title game.

Agreed. With the remaining schedule, Toledo has the inside track for the 1 seed. I don't believe the Bobcats will be a 2 or 3 seed. The 4 or 5 is most likely for Ohio.

It would be a heck of a semifinal game.

Talk to me after the Broncos play both of them on the road. Up until last night Ohio could have said the same thing about Toledo.

03-shhhh

And we'll see if Toledo can beat EMU tomorrow (in Ypsi).

If I were in Vegas, I'd put my $ on EMU.

(You heard it here first).

Causes stampede at Vegas sports books. Heavy money comes in on EMU.

Seriously, the game will probably be 'pick em'. UT or EMU could be a 1-point favorite.

This isn't a walk in the park as many MAC fans think...

UT is benefiting from 'herd mentality.' I love to bet against the 'herd mentality' when I go to Vegas. Last Labor Day week I was in Vegas and bet Florida State @ 20:1 to win the NC, which means I had to bet against 'Bama and Oregon and a bunch of other very good teams.

I'd bet against Toledo to win the MAC tourney next month. (It could be any of say five teams). (I'll be out for the NCAA tourney - too late to bet the MAC tourney).

BTW: IF I were setting odds it might be: UT : 4 or 5:1, Akron, Ohio 6:1, UB, EMU 7:1, WMU 8:1, etc. That means that Toledo would have a 20% chance of winning the tourney and 80% of not (winning it). Basically the way probabilities work.

P.S. I passed on NIU to win the MACC, too, last September.

Toledo isn't the great MAC teams of Bonzi Wells, Earl Boykins, etc. They are, maybe, the best of a closely bunched group.

We are deep with no one threat offensively. 5 guys in double figures that has lead the Rockets to 21-3 with the 5th best SOS in the MAC according to BPI and RPI.

No need for big named players to be in an elite group. Right now this team could be a sweet 16 team, or a first round NIT team. But juice and boothe are only sophomores. I wouldn't be surprised if either became HOF guys at Toledo for their tenure as Rockets.

Interesting we are a parallel team, although we play great defense and mediocre offense, with FOUR players averaging 9.9 ppg or more (Ward, Lee, Bryant and Talley) and TEN players who play at least 10 minutes per game!!!

We lack an Earl Boykins. Talley is a fine MAC PG, but give us a Boykins as we are a 9 - 2 MAC team.

Brown is a junior.

And Brown will surely be a HOFer at Toledo.
