Bronco fan posts "flying high" - I could see where you'd get that.

Willie... you've tried this before. It's not working. Taken entirely out of context.

Cute and close, but no cigar... no, no, no... don't make something out of that.
"Slick Willie" did that before.... you know... the "Dope from Hope".

My, my ... sarcasm carries a long way 'round heah ! ! 03-lmfao

good....BWI was one of the markets people were asking for....I think either Dallas or Houston was the other, but SW will probably be less likely to add that quickly because it'll take away from their Little Rock market.

ooooooohh.... 7 daily flights to a total of 5 non-stop destinations. Southwest isn't exactly setting the world on fire.

Delta is still flying like 48 flights with 24 non-stop destinations. American is flying 17 flights a day.

Southwest is actually trying to de-emphasize the small-markets and run more flights to larger cities.

According to many, Jet Blue is considering flights into Memphis. Frontier starts flying in March.

Amazing to see how much competition is helping to lower prices in Memphis.

RE: Told ya.... we're flying high at MEM ! ! !
Three of us are flying to Baltimore in April on Southwest - nonstop, roundtrip, total for all three tickets is only $585!

They have seats on most flights called "Wanna Get Away" that are non-refundable and give you fewer frequent flyer miles, but are much cheaper. If you need to change your flight, they will not refund you, but they will apply the amount to a future flight. Due to work, my wife had to end up changing her flight to the next day. She called and they made the change quickly and without any charge. It's great not having to fly on Delta.

Curious if New Frontier lasts longer than Old Frontier. New Frontier is roughly the same Allegiant and Spirit, aka three airlines I wouldn't fly across town much less the country. Many people will be in for a surprise if they book a flight on this version of Frontier if they've never experienced that kind of flying experience before.

I used to fly Frontier in the 1960's and 1970's. I don't have particularly fond memories of them, kind of like Piedmont. But tell me what kind of flying experience they have now. I'm all for any competition for Delta here. I'm only flying Southwest now, but I also had some hope for Frontier.

I haven't flown them and I won't, but they are one of those "ultra low cost carriers" now that they have new owners and escaped from bankruptcy. The kind where you pay for water, seats don't recline, have to pay to print a boarding pass, etc etc. No thanks.

I'm still flying Delta, so glad to hear you're flying SWA. One less person to compete for an upgrade with. Safe travels.

The other day I was 16 of 77 on the list for 8 seats. It's rough out there now that MEM is de-Hubbed and I'm going to ATL more.

I've had a great string of luck the last couple months as long as ATL isn't in my itinerary. Gotten it a couple times coming back, but it's been at odd times.

Doing great with the remaining mainline or CRJ 700/900 planes. Hope I'm not jinxing myself.

It's been two or three years since I have been able to get an upgrade on Delta. It used to be fairly easy. Since then, it's been like sardines packed in a can. At least so far on Southwest, it's been nice because the planes have been half full, even if they don't have a First Class section.

MSP, PHL and TPA are my almost guaranteed upgrades.

Yeah, I do use SWA some if I need to go somewhere in the middle of a trip and can get there nonstop. Of course in the more veteran SWA cities, the planes are full, so I just set my alarm to check in 23:59 before my flight.

I've done pretty good to MSP or SLC on DL, but lately going through ATL on a Monday has been killing me.

In 2012 I probably got upgraded on 85% of my segments or more, 2013 it was probably 70%, and 2014 has been like 30% so far.

Back in the NWA days as a plat it was like 97%.

An ATL-ICT upgrade tomorrow afternoon would be nice, but my breath isn't being held. I'm in first row of economy comfort, so it won't be the worst "second place is the first loser" scenario.
