It is against NCAA rules for a booster to tweet a recruit. A rule that has already been broken a few times this week.
Actually it is not against NCAA rules to tweet or even talk to a recruit. It is against NCAA rules to attempt to persuade him to come to his or her school. If a coach or an athletic representative is entertaining a recruit it is not permissible to approach them. Just to clarify.
Well, the NCAA should drop that rule since probably every school (including us) breaks it, and no one ever enforces it. The NCAA also knows that if they start to enforce it now, then they will get flooded with whistle-blowers turning in every school for illegal tweets. They know they can't handle that flood, so they turn a blind eye.
So, while the blind eye is turned, UAB had better participate or get left further behind. Does that make us cheaters? No, just pushers of the boundaries of the rules.

If he were on the roster now we wouldn't be getting destroyed by all of these Y-league zone presses like we have been this year.
I'm with you Matt. It's unfortunate that Haase is such a terrible coach.

+1
I wouldn't mind having two PG's sign. Wallace is still set to announce his decision in April also.

Snapchat & recruiting... now there's a combo I'm sure the NCAA Enforcement Committee loves.

Are you saying that Watts isnt a PG??? Well he certainly doesnt seem to be a shooting guard, so what the heck is he supposed to be??

I dunno what he did in high school, but he definitely seems like a PG at this level. He seems very reluctant to try and score, although that could be the gameplan

A team needs more than a single true PG. Whether Dickerson signs with us or not, we will need Watts and another true PG next season to be the best we can be.

Watts played off the ball in high school. He isn't really big enough to play anything but pg in college so he's a bit of a tweener. He definitely isn't a true pg for us.

RE: Champlin: UAB set to host junior college PG Trey Dickerson on official visit
Watts has done a really good job in transitioning into a full-time PG. At this point he is more of a game manager. As time goes on he will get better as he gets more comfortable operating at the PG spot. With PG being his full-time position at UAB he is more of a PG than a SG, but he is more of a power PG than one blessed w/real quickness. As time goes on he will learn how to best use his strength to overpower other PGs. AJ was very quick, but he was very strong, also.

He has. He has done a fine job so far, but he really hasn't made winning plays. I really haven't seen him set other guys up for shots on a regular basis. Again, he's a freshman and has a steep learning curve. I have been impressed with him as the season has gone on and I think he's going to be a solid guy for us for three more years. He just isn't quite what we are needing at this point.

Cant let you by with that one.we had some bad results lately but this coach knows the game and will turn this around and we will save room for you on the bus.
