Hearing from Adonis Thomas' agent the former Tiger will sign with the Orlando Magic on Monday and join the team Tuesday in Washington

Great to hear. I hope he can stick!

There is no doubt he would have been a major contributor this season. He is as good or better than every player on our roster. He just needed to drop some weight and do a better job of shot selection.

if true, great news for him - he'll have a chance to develop without the pressure of a playoff push

I believe he saw the writing on the wall that this year's draft would be stacked, so if he hung around for another year, in realty he would likely need to stay his senior year as well. In hindsight, that probably needed to happen, unless he can seriously make something happen through the end of the year.

RE: Adonis
You can say he should've stayed or he should've left after his freshman year...

But regardless, the dude is averaging 16 and 4 in the D League and has been called up to multiple 10 day contracts in the NBA. Anyone who says he wouldn't be a major factor on this team has their head up their a$$.

If he had stayed, it would've been interesting to see how he would've done sans Frank.

If he had stayed, we could have had a 5 guard lineup!

Good for him. I hope his basketball story has a happy ending in the NBA. Another Tiger in the league is never a bad thing.

Had Adonis stayed, this team would have the 3 that is sorely needed this year.

Congrats to him. I can't say how good he will be but if there is ever a stair climbing competition he will be hard to beat.

RE: Adonis
Adonis Thomas is one of the reasons the NBA is trying to enact the two year rule. It seems like someone was touting him as the #1 overall player had he been eligible out of High School.

I wish him the best. I was very impressed and excited about him after seeing him in the State Championship game. (That was the same game that left me down on Joe Jackson, go figure)

Of course he would fit well on this years team. I think we have two more wins with him, taking Florida and UCONN (away) and no more losses.

If he could stay healthy, of course, which he never could for us.
