State pulled out the whuppin' sticks today and this evening. Beat Jackson State 18-4 in baseball and then clinched at least a share of the SEC with a 105-91 beating of Auburn.

In baseball, Brooks Dunn (yes, that is his name) picked up the win in his first ever start for State, Brad Corley hit a 3 run shot and Craig Tatum added a 2 run shot.

In basketball, Winsome Frazier hit 6 out of 11 from outside the arc and ended up with 26 points and State as a team hit 14 out of 28 from 3 point range. The game was not as close as the score might indicate, we basically went all out to the bench about midway thru the second.
