Sometimes data speaks unequivocally for itself.

???

The post has to do with strength of schedule and ours is the 12th toughest.

We are 2 - 7 vs. top 100 teams which is why our record is mixed.

Our conference RPI ranking sucks! We can't beat teams within our own conference we need to beat! We for the most art only beat the team we should beat! I am a fan of quality wins where as you are a person of quantity!

Agree. No signature wins but some bad boneheaded losses. The very definition of mediocrity.

I hope Super can see what the B1G is doing to itself.

B1G is most likely the best basketball conference and they are eating each other alive this year.

They were completely loaded in the top 10 before the conference season began and and as of now the top ranked B1G team is #9 and then #15.

All the while other conferences, some not biggies, are placing teams ahead of #9 MSU. Wichita State, San Diego State, Villanova, etc...

Is Toledo one step ahead of mediocrity? What they do best is schedule very wisely, with a lot of cupcakes. Don't know if they make cupcakes in Toledo. 03-lmfao

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketba...eamId/2649

First, UT is 4 - 3 vs. teams ranked in the top 150. That is called 'mediocrity' on this board.

Who are their signature wins:

Cleveland State and Akron (ours are CLE State and WI-GB).

They have one top 50 loss, because they avoided those teams like the plaque.

Their next two 'big wins' are Sam Houston State and UBuffalo.

Then the 151+ wins are cupcakes...

I don't want to start an Internet war, but Toledo might be the most overrated D-I team in America and it starts with the AD. (UT) can bring in tons of fans and don't need to go on the road playing top 25 teams like... (cough, cough) EMU.

So they schedule very soft and build up a gaudy records which would cause Super, if he were a Rocket, to go off his launch pad...

Underrated or not we have Toledo at home, if they are overrated its time we proved it.

Eyeball test. Basketball is played on the court, not computers. Toledo has played better than Eastern. They "look" like the better team. If UT is overrated, then beat them head to head. Put up or shut up time. Based on what I've "seen" UT probably wins saturday.

This is THE GAME which will prove a lot to our fans, UT fans, and the MAC just how good Toledo and EMU are.

Now we need a large crowd, at least 3 or 4 times the UT contingent, to get behind the team big time.

And please, EMU coaches, get your TEAMS OUT THERE SATURDAY. We need some near 300 lbs. linemen looking menacing at the UT players on the FT line.

We can win based on talent but will we play smart? Will Murphy coach well? I am really, really hoping the answers are YES!

Bob, are you coming and bringing guests?

We need a big, vocal crowd Saturday to give up a home court advantage.

This is something to chew on. It is from the main MAC board (depressing that EMU is a 'signature win' for many MAC teams (4 of the signature conference wins) and the names of the nine OOC 'signature wins'):

Here's a look at everyone's signature wins (RPI top 100) as of 2/9-

(4) Ohio- #32 Toledo, #43 Richmond, #66 Mercer, #75 EMU
(4) Akron- #75 EMU, #77 Oregon St, #78 Ohio, #91 Cleveland St
(3) WMU- #32 Toledo, #70 New Mexico St, #78 Ohio
(2) EMU- #71 Green Bay, #91 Cleveland St
(2) Buffalo- #75 EMU, #93 St Bonaventure
(2) Toledo- #91 Cleveland St, #94 Akron
(1) Miami- #75 EMU
(1) BGSU- #78 Ohio
(1) Kent St- #94 Akron
(0) Ball St- N/A
(0) CMU- N/A
(0) NIU- N/A

Toledo will bring plenty of fans and they can be quite nasty.

I am bringing my significant other EMU fan Stephanie and we are going to be loud and proud. I have a weird feeling we are gonna get the W. If we do, it could save our season!

Dear FRiends,
I'll be there. Attending the Hall of Fame Induction, and game afterward.

RE: This post needs no explanation (hoops schedule)
If Delta would dump seats for Friday night flights (I was able to get a $160 RT ticket for early December, the Purdue weekend, to attend a family funeral) I would come out.

I doubt it though, few empty seats and travel will be a mess on the east coast Thursday and airlines don't want to make it worse by adding more passengers to flights which might have other folks delayed from Thursday.

We are looking for 5 - 14" of snow Wed night/Thurs morning.
