Rockets were swept by Xavier. Lost the nightcap 7-1. UT scheduled to play at Dayton on Wednesday and next weekend conference play is scheduled to begin as a road trip to Kent State is on the schedule. Rockets and Golden Flashes will play 3 if the weather cooperates.

UT is scheduled to host Notre Dame in April, though it won't be at Scott Park.

It will be at Central Catholic's state-of-the-art baseball facility. Probably the nicest high school stadium in the state. I can't picture too many HS stadiums even in the country that are nicer than that. I'll be attending this game just to enjoy a game at Central Catholic's stadium. Excellent place to watch some ball.

Hope the Rockets can lay another beat down on Notre Dame this year.

i think it was two years ago our opening series against Miami was played at Mercy Field due to the conditions at Scott Park.
It was like 40 degrees that day so i just stayed for a bit but was a nice stadium with easy parking

Toledo's games Tuesday (against BG, in what I assume would have been a game that didn't count in conference standings) and Wednesday (against Oakland) have been postponed. Still set (as of Monday afternoon) to play Akron this weekend.

RE: UT baseball 2014
OK, so I get this email (see below) and I understand the weather is crappy and our home at Scott Park is not playable, but does it irk anyone else that our Division I baseball team has to play at a NAIA/high school field? Of course it's an amazing facility, but what does this say about our facilities?

(UT email) The Rockets will host Akron (10-10, 3-0 MAC) in a three-game series on Friday-Saturday, March 28-29 at Mercy Field at the Msgr. Schmit CYO Athletic Complex.

03-banghead:banghead:We need more turf fields in NW Ohio. BG is playing their "home" series near Indianapolis, but it is still better than not playing.

UT managed to pull out one win against Akron. A walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th gave the Rockets a 4-3 victory.

UT is scheduled to host Wright State on April 1st.

Rockets defeated Wright State 10-4 on Tuesday. Rockets scheduled to go to Columbus Wednesday for a game against the Buckeyes.

Below is a link to the Wright State box score and play-by-play. As of now it says the Rockets (who are 10-14 on the season) are 101-4. Don't know how long it will take for it to be corrected, but I like the thinking. 03-thumbsup

Game story not up as of about 6:30 Tuesday night. Here's the link.

If they played n the majors they could lose 57 straight and still win the division.
