Every criticism you get, no matter how adult is blown away with:

"Clearly you don't understand the situation"....

For you, maybe. But people are people. Adults are adults. Juvenile crap is juvenile crap. You don't have to be a MAC fan or a CUSA fan or even a fan at all to recognize it for what it is.

Means nothing to me. There's nothing necessarily adult or less than adult about observing that someone doesn't appear to "understand" a situation. If the observation is erroneous, it's a simple matter of the person demonstrating that's the case in how they portray the situation.

Do you have Children? Because I can tell you one of the challenges of being a parent is talking to an 8 year old who is convinced that everything you say does not matter because "you don't get it"...

You have been given several reasons why this won't get off the ground and been given several more reasons to clarify even if it got off the ground there would be no real benefit.

I post thoughtful discourse when it's called for... But when you keep barfing up the same stuff at some point it's time to break out the gifs..

After all a picture is worth a thousand words...

What you are doing here

I mean, really... *laughing*... you really do spend your time going from thread to thread to grant your approval or disapproval as-if the poster should take your opinion as having descended from a mountain on tablets of stone.

And now, I'm being told, you've actually attempted what you call "thoughtful discourse"... though not in this thread, perhaps at some point in this forum... that is, no doubt, when you agreed and granted approval of whatever it was that Poster X said.

hehe... yeah... that Exile, he's a regular Stephen Hawking... thoughtful discourse, my ash... *laughing*

Threads I have posted on Today

* New, simpler proposal > re: Gaining equal footing with AAC and MWC for big bowl slot
* RE: What Do Liberals Say To A Black Conservative?
* CNN: Attacking Hillary Clinton As “Ruthless” Is Sexist…

Putting aside on the other two I was not belittling the conversation this is hardly "Jumping from thread to thread".

Quote:And now, I'm being told, you've actually attempted what you call "thoughtful discourse"...

Reading comprehension is fundamental is it not? I never said I did it on this thread... I said "When It's called for"... Lord Stanley stuck up for me and I am grateful for that because I try to be a good citizen here.

Quote:though not in this thread, perhaps at some point in this forum... that is, no doubt, when you agreed and granted approval of whatever it was that Poster X said.

I don't always agree with folks here and they do not agree with me but we all manage to get along just fine. I seldom question the value of having a discussion. This mess you've created here is the exception that proves the rule.

I'm not the one running around pretending that the unwashed masses are too stupid to understand my genius...

But don't take my word for it...

Mr. Hawkin..errrr... Exile... those snickers you hear?... those would be from some who actually score above 8th grade in reading comprehension and therefore knew something you evidently don't about this thread... how's that sock tasting about now, Mr. I-Understand-It-All-Just-Fine-Thank-You... *nodding smirk*...

I think you have received in this thread all the intelligent discourse the idea deserves. Water finds its own level.

There's probably not a single MAC AD that wouldn't laugh you out of his office. Or call security. Try it and find out! Obviously you are wasting your time here. Maybe the Sun Belt would like to sign up?

The forum mall cop in chief isn't even among those who read the concept well enough to speak intelligently about it... so let's make that 5% instead of 10... and please enjoy your self-aggrandising victory lap... nothing to me.

You sure are obsessed with mall cops. You see them everywhere.

How about this: what do you say Bull, you, and I don't post again in this thread until someone makes what you think is an intelligent reasoned response to your big plan? Then we won't have all these digressions that give you these horrible mall cop flashbacks.

I'm patient. I can wait until that post comes. Even longer.

RE: New, simpler proposal > re: Gaining equal footing with AAC and MWC for big bowl slot
Guess I shouldn't have shown light on the experiment aspect of this... blew my cover... oh well...

Back to something substantive, I guess...

Someone on another board made a valuable contribution, which is that the play-in games couldn't be done the way they're conveyed here because the opponents could end up being from the same division... and the rule specifies that the opponents must be from different divisions.

Working on that, but the initial easy alternative would be to simply do a intra-division #1 vs. #2. The criticism might be, "Yeah, but they've already played once." The counter to that is, "Yeah, but it's not like you never have teams end up playing each other twice."

But, while I think the reward is greater... I have been tinkering with some ways that that situation could be eliminated... and of course, I'm open to others' ideas... after all, that's really the best use of these forums, imho, ie collaboration (... qualifying that... at least, that is, speaking for those of us who don't really come here to get some ego kick out of pot-shotting posts or posters we don't like).
