MyBB Late season dream starting 5
I know we've stuck with the same guys now for a while, but for a late season run & this next patch of tough games I'd like to see the following starters play through the 2nd media timeout, barring foul trouble:

JJ, Geron (over CC for defense) Shaq, Pellom (when healthy) & King

What say youins?

I think it's telling that, with an offense that revolves around 4 guards, despite that, we are still the top scoring front court amongst major D1 programs. Imagine how awesome it'd be if we ran the offense through the bigs...ironically I believe this would open things up for our outside shooters....

1. Joe (no-brainer)
2. Chris (helps run the team and gets us going)
3. King (brings toughness, rebounds well, good shooter inside or out)
4. Austin (nice skills, good hands, good passer for a big)
5. Shaq (does a little bit of everything well)

Dixon - playing well as of late

Geron - plays amped up this year, seems more relaxed when he concentrates on
his offensive game more, our best defender.

Iverson - with Pellom questionable we may need him to be ready.

Pellom - won’t practice anymore so his effectiveness will have to be reevaluated
from game to game, if healthy could start.

Woodson - good size & soft touch, needs to keep working hard.

NOTE: I agree that we should run the offense through the bigs. I also think playing 2 guards would enable us to press more. With 2 fresh guards coming in this could wear teams down, and at times a 3 guards lineup could be good against smaller quick teams.

RE: Late season dream starting 5
Would love King to get more minutes. At this point I highly doubt coach will start or even play him at the 3. So instead of a dream starting 5, I will post my dream rotation.

Joe, Geron, Chris, Dixon at 1, 2 and 3 with some limited minutes from King at the 3
Austin, Shaq, King (first off the bench), Pellom (limited mins, keep him fresh for the tournament coz of his knee) and Dom (limited mins possibly due to foul trouble for the other bigs)

Start JJ , GJ , SG , AN , and NK

Bring in CC , MD ,.......... DP ,.............................. and KI

CC was 6th man of the year last year and so was MD . This could be really effective .

I was embarrassed by DMs crap , not only did he throw the big guy down for no reason , he also pushed the ball into the refs chest at the end of the first half . The ref didnt like it either . If he sat out for 2 games that'd be ok with me . He was acting like our teams been perceived by many .

I like your five a lot. Chris is too valuable of a shooter to not be in there.

Just continue the same intensity as late in the game and this team can be dangerous.

Shooters would come in with full strength in their legs once our best defensive lineup wears them down.

I'd like to see this line-up, but I don't care if they all start together:

Joe Jackson
Chris Crawford
Nick King
Austin Nichols
Shaq Goodwin

I'm really only subbing out Geron from first team. Man, if he'd accept a bench role., this potential line-up rivals 1st team:

Michael Dixon
Geron Johnson
Kuran Iverson
David Pellom
Dom Woodson

Are we really? Do they actually keep such stats? No offense, but hard to believe that we are #1.

Or actually, they said we score the most points in the paint, which includes the guards somewhat....

+5 Hey BIG D T.....I really think that WE have a unique luxury and just to throw teams off.....could have a different lineup every game just about.....it sounds weird, but it would keep our guys ready to play @ all times and how would the opposing team prepare?.....WE would give 'em fits05-stirthepot
