If this is meant to infer Memphis was somehow slighted by ESPN....just a reminder MEMPHIS just hosted ESPN Game Day on Prime-Time television.

They are wearing out the Marcus Smart shoving story of a TT fan. Friends of the fan say he tweeted to them he used the n word, and has apologized through social media.

You're right, our game and the incredible block were not shown. Pitiful.

I hear what you are saying, and yeah I agree, I would have expected more coverage. However, I feel great and take the awesome publicity Memphis received today as a gift with a smile on my face and look forward to the next game. Personally I don't really give a $h!+ about ESPN sensationalizing what some fan yelled at Marcus Smart or what the breakdown of the UK/MS St was by ESPN and I could care less if they discuss it on sportscenter until they are blue in the face. Talk is cheap.

Today ESPN invested big $$$ on my Tigers by sending Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas to host Game Day and a prime-time basketball game to Memphis. We won. It was a great day for Memphis basketball regardless of what was subsequently aired on sportscenter.

Thank you for coming to Memphis ESPN. Today was a good day.

I saw our game on Sportscenter last night. They included the block...and then finished the highlight with the Zag kid missing the three when down three late.

Crybaby is talking about the one that immediately followed the game which of course was produced as our game was playing. Memphis was on all day those intros were some of the best commercials for the city I have seen. For a Jedi you sure have an inferiority complex.

Totally agree. All of the pieces fell together:

1. Saturday NIGHT game in FEBRUARY;
2. Against a RANKED opponent;
3. With ESPN gameday;
4. With a great raucous crowd (not long after someone posts how Tiger games 'don't feel the same' and didn't get too much disagreement);
5. We WIN a close, tight game with DEFENSE of all things.

And no one got injured. Can't ask for much more than that for this program....except a Sweet 16 appearance this year.

Yep and the really sad thing is the local radio shows will talk about the smart incident more than they will the game. I'm sure Calkins will go on an anti gun or anti bully rant. Can't wait for Friendly John to school him again like he did Friday .

Memphis just hosted College Game Day and won the friggin' game with an awesome comeback dominating prime-time television.

Maybe one day we'll also lose the entitlement complex. We are MEMPHIS. Nothing more, nothing less. ESPN Sportscenter owes us nothing. Grateful ESPN chose MEMPHIS to host Game Day among their unlimited list of choices.
