It often is when Shaq is in foul trouble. Nichols and Pellom provide some good weak side defense. But, Shaq is the guy to defend other bigs and throw off their game. He also covers more ground than those 2. That makes a difference inside on defense. If he could just avoid those silly fouls twice a game, he would be playing 35 minutes per game and leading the team in scoring as well as averaging closer to double digit boards.
