That's honestly impressive, especially considering all the P5 we've played (Texas, etc) and were in conference with Utah State last year. Good job.

We gave Keon Lewis all kinds of hell, he is fit, but a little full around the midsection, so we were chanting meatball or pork hop everytime he got the ball. It was funny, anytime you shoot an air ball we chant it everytime that player get the ball, Agusi shot one early, so at times it was air ball, meatball, air ball, meatball in quick succession.

Coach Thompson is pretty vocal coach and we rode him hard for everything he said.

What makes it so crazy is the student section is the entire lower bowl except for the first 6 rows behind the visitors bench. Many places the students are behind one of the goals and not right on top of you. We have a similar set-up to Minges as Cameron Indoor.

And with the low roof design of Minges even half full it can get extremely loud.

It can be a tough atmosphere. I remember seeing the Marquette coach bring a stool way out onto the floor during time outs so he could communicate with his team. The students are right on the floor.

Pretty cool compliment BT gave your fans, and I'm sure it was well-deserved. Just to clarify though, they bring the stools out onto the court during time-outs everywhere, even at home.

No, he was is talking about 2001-02 before many teams did that. Marquette didn't start the game doing that, it was so loud they had to. It was the first time I'd had ever seen a team do that.

Also, that was before C-USA in acted the Charlotte/Cinny rule and we had students in the first row right behind their bench. C-USA chance the rule the next year after Charlotte and Cinny had some issues with the benches and students, now the first 6 rows behind the visitors bench are for visiting fans only, no students, no exceptions.

Now it's common place and most teams do it, back then it was rare.

And they weren't just a little bit out there. He took them to the lane to talk.
