I am really appreciative of Dave's coverage of WMU (even if we don't always have a game day preview for Bball). The man is objective and hits all the salient points.

Well balanced article highlighting both the good and bad that we have experienced in football. I especially liked the statement, "He stood at the podium inside the team room, one of many areas within the football facilities that received major renovations with the more than $3 million Fleck helped raise." First time someone has acknowledged that others contributed to the fund raising that has taken place during the past 15 months.

Great sentiment. And I agree, if he learns, this talent he recruited could end up being special.

The thing about Fleck as a coach is that even as the Broncos prepared to close out a one-win season at MAC power Northern Illinois last year, his players were still practicing and preparing at a high level, even the ones who were Broncos long before Fleck came along.

Imagine what he can do with 27 more players who have signed up intentionally to row in Fleck’s boat.

"Identity" is key.

Cubit was a QB-passing "guru." Darnell was a defensive coach. Molde was known for his pass offense. Etc.

So far PJ has none except for goofy videos, slogans, press conferences, and "new traditions" on game day.

Unless you want to say "recruiter" which right now puts him in the Ron Zook category.

Hopefully this year we become "known for something" and PJ can establish a positive head coaching identity.

We also gave money for the coaches' tribute in Brown.

We have given money to Gary Fund earmarked for Football every year for over three decades (except the year Haenicke fired Al). Totalling thousands of dollars.

And will do so this year too in spite of last Fall's debacle. So we are helping PJ and his program.

Like I've said many times before, your attitude/position really surprises me for this exact reason.

There are ways to give back when you can't afford to do it financially. Sorry you don't see the value in what we do at Bronco Blitz, but there are plenty who do.

Broncoblitz is for YOU and your benefit, you're not "giving anything". You get off with the jock sniffing, coach stroking, face book stalking kids and thinking you're close to the people that you're gossiping about on there.

Nobody compelled you to do that, it was a choice and you don't do anyone any favors. If you were so secure with it, you wouldn't be over here demanding that we respect your "insider position" and instead, let your work speak for itself, much like your peers do from there. They let it go and take the high road.

Not sure how you figure when I was invited to join BroncoBlitz a year or so ago and accepted the invitation. I didn't start the website.

I think we've done a lot of great things for the program by providing the coverage that we do. Fortunately your opinion means very little (close to nothing). Fans, coaches, players, and admin. appreciate it and that's all that really matters.
