Ron Zook is back in coaching, turning down Bobby Petrino and Louisville to join the Green Bay Packers.

Probably a good thing for us, if we couldn't have him I sure as heck don't want a close recruiting rival to have him. Petrino has nowhere near the record of Strong as a recruiter, so we may be on more even ground in recruiting battles with them despite conference affiliation. Not sure how strong the rest of Petrino's recent hires are recruiting wise.

And the Bears also hired Paul Pasqualoni to be their DL coach! Not to be outdone fellow NFC North participant Detroit Lions said forget all these college coaches we're going to hire broncos assistant Jim Bob Cooter to be our QB coach.

Wasn't that guys strength the ability to cheat while recruiting? How does that help a pro team?

Think I saw that UL hired Alabama's DB coach to coach safties. Can't recall his name, but the speculation was that since Saban started out as a DB coach, the dude felt a little too much interference in his position group from the HC.
