We average 75 ppg this year, last year it was 71
We average 46 rpg, last year it was 37
Assists 13 this year to 16 last
Steals 5 this year to 8 last
Blocks 4 this year to 3 last
Turnovers 14 this year to 15 last(yes, we turn the ball over less per game this year.
We also attempt about 63 shots per a game this year, as opposed to 60 last year
We have attempted 539 FTs already this year, as opposed to 586 all last year.(New rules could help here)
We shot 33.4% from 3 last year, it's 30.1% this year. Swing Purifoy, and Rob carried us in that department last year.(as well as Quincy) All were over 35.8%. This year, all are 30.0% or lower.
We shoot 42.3% this year, 43.3% last
FT % 69.6% this year, 72.4% last

One last thing to remember is the most time any player has had in this system is 2 years this coming off season. Bash away at this team all you want, but if you can't see any improvement, it's because you aren't looking for it.

I was talking about overall results and not individual statistics.

RE: Season Comparisons
There's really no reason in the world why we shouldn't have a break out season next year.

Yeah. I think the reasonable expectation level was 22-8, Top 4 CUSA finish, NIT appearance. In the grand scheme of things, if the team has that breakout year next year, it will be back on track. Of course Haase wants to win right away, but in our "new normal" which includes a new CUSA landscape and sub-500 Davis-inherited talent, it may take longer for him to rebuild the program. If this program could survive the early 2000s under Murry, it will survive this drought.

I think you're a year behind. That should've been this year. Next year with Frazier CJW brown our returning contributors and incoming freshmen, we should be thinking ncaas. If he adds any jucos at positions of need with our remaining spots, that adds even more reason we should think ncaas.

RE: Season Comparisons
Seeing how limited the production from Swing has become and how minimal Purifoy's production has been, the biggest losses from this year's class will be Faz and Williams. Of course Faz and Williams aren't always that productive either. If CJ and Frazier stay to go along with Brown, Watts, Mehinti, Sullivan, Lee, Calhoun, etc. that has to be among the most talented line-ups in CUSA, if not the most talented.

Many of the better CUSA teams this year (La Tech, USM, MTSU, etc.) are going to be really hurt by the loss of significant players. UAB should easily be top 4 next year. Even with the talent we have this year, we've been competitive in almost every game we've played. Unfortunately, we haven't finished off very many of those close games.

That's what I meant, but after reading it back, even I didn't understand. 03-lmfao

RE: Season Comparisons
When it's hard to determine if your team is having a better season than auburn, it's got to be pretty bad. Win the CUSA tournament if you want to play in the postseason. I'm ready for 2014-2015 season. There will be a huge talent upgrade coming in over those who are departing. It'll be a younger team, but experience hasn't seemed to have made any difference this season.
