RE: Official Game Thread: @ Lipscomb (W 96-88)
Because Lipscomb shot the ball well, too. It was just that type of game. Very entertaining.
They need that again Monday.
3rd in the A-sun and a solid conference tournament? Murry's back next year

With Jalen, Rashawn, AJ, and Lester, we have some key pieces. Behind the scenes, I'm hearing from inside sources that expectations soar for Maurice O'Field.
But we have nothing inside coming back. Whatever our front court looks like it will have zero experience. I sense a return to the JUCO ranks, roll the dice and hope for a KGG and Hunter at least and not
Forest and Smith.

I agree.
Maurice is exceptionally athletic at a legitimate 6'3/6'4. I had the privilege of playing pick-up ball with him at the gym recently, and while that's mostly screwing around with low effort, athleticism still shines. Since he can't practice with the team, it's good to see him out somewhere minimizing the rust. Major leaping ability on a strong musculature. Not quite Tubbs in either regard, but Tubbs came in as a Junior. Will be nice to see what weight training and college conditioning will lend to the young man's physical ability.
Hopefully, the Lynchburg recruit makes it to campus fine and ready to hustle. 6'9/6'10 with some length and ability to run the floor could be useful with the right management of effort. Rebounding and defense would be priceless, if the young man is apt. But he's probably not fully ready to see guys his own size and then some when it comes to weight. Practicing with the Bucs early season won't contribute to that kind of development, to say the least. Banks will probably be returning as much a Freshman. A beefy Juco would be prudent, though it's not prudent that the coach continues to put the frontcourt in this position every season or two.
