A real D1 QB who can make good decisions with decent protection will make a huge difference for UAB's offense and WILL win more than 3 games in 2014. Does UAB have one? That is the challenge facing the new coaching staff with the 15 spring practices coming up. I expect Clark to narrow the QB selection to no more than 2 by mid-spring.
That won't be too hard to do, since we only have 2 scholar-shipped QB's available for spring (McKee and Clements).
Last I heard, UAB has Briscoe and a couple of others on scholarships.

Briscoe is still recovering, and Wilson and Thomas won't be here in the spring. That leaves 2 available on scholarship and walk-on Matt Miller.

Shouldn't be too hard to make the top 2 in the spring then.

Question about 2 "signees" who are listed in "state signees" but not in the "UAB signees" list.
David Norris - Bob Jones HS
Lee Dufour - Saraland HS
Are these the only ones missing?

I think we signed a lot of OL due to the injuries among them last year, I've heard some won't be up for spring so need the warm bodies on the roster. It's not a bad idea to have a bunch of OL plus IIRC a couple did DL in their careers in HS/JUCO so maybe a position switch at some point is in the cards.

Winning only 3 games will be completely unacceptable!
... but completely realistic.
