It becoming difficult for even an optimist like me
when you see a game like last night. We try. Lord knows we try. But we're sort of like the janitor who works at the bank. He can be there for forty years and have more experience than anyone, yet he's never going to be the bank president. That's us. We've been in the league a long time, but as things stand now, we're probably always going to be no better than the fourth best team in the league, no matter what teams are playing in the league.
I don't know if changing things up would help. I really don't. But what's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get different results! It's like having a career .200 hitter for ten years, and every year expecting him to bat .300. History tells you it ain't gonna happen. At some point you had better try and find that .300 hitter. Case closed!
