Next weekend they go to Bloomington for the Hoosier Classic. Rockets are scheduled to play Indiana and Illinois-Chicago on March 14th.

Rockets lost to Illinois-Chicago 4-3. UT had 3 hits and made 5 errors. Gave up 9 hits.

UT allowed 1 run in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th. Scored 3 in the bottom of the sixth but that was all they could do.

UT plays Indiana later today.

UT lost to Indiana 5-2.

UT defeated Wright State 7-2 Saturday morning.

The Rockets play Michigan State later this afternoon.

Rockets lost to Michigan State 6-5 in 10 innings.

Now they're off for a while. Next scheduled game is against Wright State in the home opener on March 25th.

Toledo's home opener against Wright State, scheduled for the 25th, was canceled. And their home games this weekend won't be home games after all: they've been shifted to DeKalb.

UT baseball team had a walk-off win on Saturday and so did the UT softball team. Two in the bottom of the 7th (with two out) gave the Rockets a 4-3 win over Western Michigan.

UT has a doubleheader against Northern Illinois scheduled for Sunday.

UT swept Northern Illinois on Sunday. That gives the Rockets a 3-1 division record and they lead the division as of now. UT at Detroit for a doubleheader against the Titans and then it's to Oxford for a a doubleheader on Friday against the RedHawks.

Toledo trailed 4-0 but rallied to take the lead and held on for the 6-4 win. Cards loaded the bases in the top of the seventh but didn't score.

I wonder if the current coaches can do any recruiting...if it's even worth their time and effort. It just befuddles me how this program has swung and missed on the last several head coaches. Surely their is someone out there that can take this program off of life support

I know nothing about softball recruiting, but you would think there would be a dozen or more girls from NW Ohio alone who could compete at a DI level. Back in the Spengler era those teams would maul over the opposition. They were our bright spot in women's athletics, now they aren't even on the radar.
