With non-gameday traffic you can get from MT's campus to LP Field in 30-40 minutes. There's no doubt that this was done to squash mid-state interest in the MT/Vandy game. No other reason.

Logistically it will be a nightmare with Vandy fans trying to get to Murfreesboro, MT fans trying to get to MT too, UT fans going to Nashville, and UAB fans driving through Murfreesboro to Nashville...

I hope the games are scattered, UT-UAB first (no offense UAB 03-wink )...

You've been down in SFLA too long. UAB fans will travel up I-65. Not much impact on the Boro since we're on I-24.

BTW, coming down your way next week! Very much ready for some warmer weather.

If anyone doesn't think that Tennessee is now concerned with Vandy and maybe even a little concerned about our growth at MT I would say this confirms it.

No way this is coincidence. Well, I don't believe in coincidences.

But as a college football fan this could be a great day for a double header if there is at least an effort to avoid scheduling them at the same time.

SEC vs. C-USA in the mid-state. Mark your calendars folks. It's going to be a fun day.

I love the MTSU conspiracy theories...the world is trying to ensure MTSU can't change their name and aren't allowed to be a "big deal"

More about Vandy than us which I fully acknowledged in the post.

As for the name well you just couldn't be more wrong on that. I have documents that back it up including from Memphis adminstration and boosters who promised they would back us if we supported your name change to U of M, which they reneged on, so you can call that one a conspiracy theory all you want. Memphis wasn't the only one though. The truth is out there. Feel free to do a deeper search or just offer pejorative garbage on an internet forum like you're doing now. Your choice. I don't really care, but I bet I know which way you'll go.

I do too, and I do believe because of the documentation 03-lol

Also, yeah, I have been down here for too long. Was hoping to make it out to the game at FIU tomorrow, not sure if that's gonna happen though.

What's the matter, Drew? Not enough conversations gambits in your shiny new conference?

RE: 2015 UAB and Tennessee game moved to Nashville
I am not sure how worried UT is about Vandy now. a charismatic Franklin at Vandy coupled with an idiot like Dooley at UT at the same time really benefitted Vandy. Apparently Dooley totally ignored the mid-state which irked the HS coaches in the Nashville area. Jones has been mending those fences which is why UT was able to sign 6 of the top seven players in the mid-state. I believe this is just another piece of Jones' plan to reinforce his goal of sealing the TN borders and reestablishing UT as the state's university.
I think the timing was based on the fact that UAB was scheduled for that date and they would not move the OK game to a neutral site. It stinks that it is the date of the MT-Vandy game. MT attendance may be down to the closet UT fans going to LP Field the way all of the closet UK fans flee from Bowling Green when the Mildcats are playing at home which hurts WKU's attendance.

I still like to watch CUSA ball...I was very happy to see UAB knock off UNC.

Looks like my bet was on the money. People that don't want the facts will never find them.
