Bearcats beat Louisville and Memphis at their homes, we still get no respect. Why does everyone think SMU will beat UC?

I think its a combination of a bunch of things. 1) you never win them all; 2) they are super athletic, big, and pretty darn good at home; 3) short turn around from a grinder of a game.

This is SMU's super bowl thus far. They are totally geeked for this game. The crowd will be nuts, the team will be amped, and it will be very difficult. Our seniors need to keep everyone calm and continue to lead.

Tony probably passed the phone to the wrong person after the selfie

We will likely be small underdogs. It's not an insult to to pick against us in this game.

A loss saturday wouldn't be a surprise at all. Not even a 48 hour turnaround, on the road against a tough tough team. Wouldn't be the end of the world either.

Any other team I would agree on the short turn time and hostile environment, but this team is special. They feed off it. It was loud and crazy at Memphis and Louisville.

Crowd won't bother them. Short turn around is tough. But at this point they don't want to lose and have pulled out a number of very close Ws. When was the last time you really believed (not hoped) at the end of a close game that the Cats will win it? These guys have done such a tremendous job in closing out games.

Short turnarounds and good teams are what March Madness is all about. This game is a great teaching point for Mick and the boys... Winning the Thur/Fri games in March is fine, but to get to the Sweet 16 or to that deep run we all are hoping for will require at least two short turnaround games.

Here's to the 'Cats showing the world that they are even more for real than people think.

this will very similar to the old days in C-USA when we visited Charlotte for example. Fans will be up like its the NCAA FINALS and well, it was to them. UC will have to cut down on turnovers and shoot well this game. Might be tougher than the Louisville game was. Let's show them what we have. Don't back down to anyone.

Surprises me a little SMU is a 3 point favorite. Not that I don't think SMU can win. I was expecting a pick em or UC favored by a point or 2.

I was thinking the same thing. Tickets are going for $100 or more on the secondary market. SMU is going to be favored to win the league next season so UC better get used these battles with the Mustangs.

Not a bad thing to be the opponent's big game. Usually that means UC is doing pretty well.

Only tough part is the travel distance and quick turnaround after a big UCONN win. Not much time to get rested and prepare.

That said - I think we come out with a win.

With the home team getting the usual 4 pts, a 3 pt spread is essentially a pickem.

I would much rather exit the league and let the Ponies battle it out with the Tigers and the Huskies.
