Great Article about Bruce
I'm a Steelers fan and I read one of their fan sites daily. They have a great article about Big Ben's backup, Bruce Gradkowski.

I was very surprised at how detailed the article was, until it became clear that the author was indeed a Toledo alumni.

Enjoy!

Love the comment about the author doing great research. The author says Gradkowski played exclusively on special teams his first two seasons. I'd call that research sketchy. OK, bad.

Possibly he meant holding the ball for extra point attempts?

He did that but certainly not exclusively. He threw over three hundred passes in his second season and a handful in his first, his RS freshman season.

I don't think that is what he said. He wrote:

Gradkowski redshirted then played exclusively on special teams during his first two seasons at Toledo.

He was giving an accounting of what Gradkowski did in his first two seasons at Toledo. (redshirted in year 1, then played on special teams in year 2). At least that is how I interpreted it when I read the article.

Well, it was awkward at best, but Gradkowski, according to the stats, was in at QB on snaps as a RS frosh and threw at least three passes.
