The rankings don't mean much to me. There are too many variables to consider this early on and a lot of schools go after the "hidden gems" that others overlook.

I never put much creedence in star stuff. We will not know how well this class is until the fall of 2016 when they are RS Sophmores or true Juniors and the JCs have either finished or have one year left if redshirted. You can get better odds shooting craps than on judging how much a 17 or 18 year old kid is going to develop by the time he is 21 or 22.

Charlotte signed a 6'8'' 280lb offensive lineman. The guy is huge.

We lost several of our best recruits in the last week....a few today alone.

7 total, with 4 flips (although Magee said 5 on one of his twitter feeds, so he must be counting someone I'm not)

No offense to Memphis or middle Tennessee, but watching Avery , white, and herrod sign with those schools instead of us so they can "play closer to home" is a punch in the gut. That really only happens coming off 1-23. We rarely lose more than 1-2 flips total at the end of a recruiting cycle and those almost always go to the sec. Incidentally, MSU deciding they are going to recruit most of their roster from Mississippi along with actually winning half their games is probably hurting us the most. Before Mullen, maybe half our Mississippi recruits were seriously considering MSU...now we have to fight them and their sec resources over every single decent instate recruit.

You should look at ECU for Scout v 24/7, it's down right laughable, scout still doesn't have all of our signees listed. But, that's what happens when it's run by a NC State fan and Wolfpack Club member. That's right our scout board is owned and run by a fan of our bitter rival.

It's not a good way of ranking the classes but it shows you the difference for ODU between Rivals/Scout and ESPN/247. Rivals only has 18 commits listed for ODU and Scout only has 21, while ESPN and 247 list all 31. The Scout and Rivals rankings are worthless for ODU.

This.

247 Sports seams to be the new "standard" if you ask me. Seems to be the most fair and accurate across the board.

I like 24/7 for their composite rating which average all the recruiting sites ratings for each player to gather, giving a more balance look, vs those that are overrated or underrated on different sites. They do a good job on most for rating every player. Also, they do not just give out ratings ie just giving a 2 star for a G5 commit or 3 star for a P5. Players will have a NR beside their name until film and measurables are reviewed.

Side note, the Guy that started Rivals sold the site and started 24/7.

Nice class Marshall. 247 says we have the 3rd rated class in CUSA - kind of surprised we are that high but we finished really strong in the last couple of weeks.

03-lmfao how did that happen?

Charlotte has a Scout URL, but nobody updates it. Any updates for it are just auto-updates when we are mentioned in an article somebody wrote for another school or the AP.

247 wouldn't give us a site unless we gave up ninernation.net and we don't want to do that.

Very pleased with the class Coach Brohm has brought in for the Tops. Looks like he has been able to retain nearly all of the recruits that were verballed under Petrino. Areas of need were addressed, and a pretty talented group of Jucos coming in to help with depth as well. Speed has definitely been upgraded. All in all, a nice way to begin our Conference USA membership. Also, I am very excited about our new schedule. The upgrade in quality teams coming into The Houch will surely put more butts in the seats. Can't wait for August 28![/i]

So far about 8 or 9 of UTEP's recruits our listed as NR. I think that's true of UAB recruits too. The reviewers of film have a lot of work to do.
