My major problems with him happened during the season and the fact that he has had to learn on the job. He has learned somethings along the way which was seen by how many times he had to back track on stuff. Just don't keep making the same mistakes. It's not personal with me and PJ other than this is the program I gave my health to and don't want to see flounder because he can't develop talent and coach. We have checked off that he can recruit talent. Now we hopefully don't hear from him until spring ball and we can re-evaluate at that point, atleast a little bit.

Amen.

I am a numbers guy and love statistics and probability. I was dissecting some things for WMU, NIU and Toledo and here is what I found:

The rankings on Scout are subjective in nature. Western Michigan has a lot of three star recruits. However when you dissect things further the 12 kids they recruited and signed from Michigan had very little interest from AQ schools. In fact only two received offers from AQ schools. Drilling down further I found that WMU had seven total kids that received some AQ offers, Toledo six and NIU six. I have more faith that the college coaches know who is really better then a couple of analysts. In fact none of the WMU recruits from Michigan received any offers from Michigan State or Michigan. NIU and Toledo each have six kids from FL. WMU has two. It just leads me to believe that the quality of the Michigan kids overall wasn't there? If so, then how come they weren't heavily recruited. NIU signed one kid from Michigan and Toledo signed none. Are you telling me that PJ Fleck knows something that none of the other schools do? Is he that awesome?

Same stuff I've been writing all along, EA. You were just so giddy about our recruiting that you went off the deep end at a perceived slight.

Ouch. You really cut me to the quick with that one.

Now you're a literary critic too.

Pull your claws back in, Missy.

Yes, because like I said it started a long time ago.

No problems here, just don't get it.

Don't you worry your pretty little head dear, I'm sure your insanity workout classes this afternoon will ease your stress about this.

Nobody is going to disagree on this, but who has the last four #1 recruiting classes in the country?

Correct and something like 7 of the last 8 but getting them is just the first step. If you don't fit into the "program" then you don't last long. They have gotten good players but they also develop them. Their strength coach is a maniac. He has a video they play at the beginning of the 4th quarter and the place goes nuts. Their off season program is called "The 4th quarter program", I used a variation of it during my coaching career.
