Should be a good one. The games with UTEP here have always been EPIC. Not sure why the two schools that are the furthest apart in CUSA always seen to have some epic/crazy game when its played in Minges.
The most unforgettable one for me though was the one where near about all the UTEP coaching staff got ejected... I think you guys were down to like the water boy calling shots by the end. A buzzer beater in the series for good measure.

Should be a pretty interesting matchup with PRC trying to guard 7 footers and 7 footers trying to guard PRC. I'm sure that's how Lebo will choose to play it though.

With UTEP's current roster of players every game is a scary game for the Miners, and road games are even worse. If UTEP can win both of their road games this week then they should finish top four in the conference and get the double bye.

Interestingly enough those minutes breakdowns are almost mirror images of each other. You left Torlak out of the ECU rotation but had you included him he'd be in that 3-5 minute a game range that UTEP's 8th man is. So basically both teams go 7 deep and spot play an 8th guy. There are indeed mismatches everywhere, and this game will be decided by who gets the best of those mismatches. ECU will have to run exclusively zone (which we've pretty much been doing anyway) and we'll need to create some turnovers and at least stay competitive on the boards. On offense we are going to have to drive the ball to the basket consistently like we did in the UAB game. We did a great job of it early in the season and then for whatever reason it just kinda disappeared for 6 games. Obviously we are going to have to make 3's, but they need to be set up by drives and kick outs and not just by swinging it around the outside and then Richmond throwing up a contested 3. Also even though these are not the strengths of his game Keem needs to drive a little more and at least give defenders the idea that he might do something other than shoot a 3. He did that a little more in the UAB game than he's done in the other conference games and that made a difference.

Torlack is actually averaging 10.0 minutes per game in conf play and has played in all 7 games. I should have listed him since he's playing about as much as Stith . I didn't realize he was playing that much, so we go 8 deep now.

They actually have a surprisingly good assist to turnover ratio and have shoot well from the outside in conf play for a team you'd think would be a lot less skilled for their positions.

I think Akeem should get open shots in this matchup. I can't see those 6-8 guys keeping up with him the way he runs off screens and moves on the perimeter. Cooper plays 40 minutes a game, if they put him on him instead defensively he's going to get spent chasing him cause everyone that defends him has to work harder than usual and they don't really have another PG. His movement and use of screens is why he gets 12 three point shots a game and he works harder for perimeter shots than any player I have ever seen.

He got it put back in his face in the UAB game too and with two 7 footers that's the most likely outcome that would happen this game the way Bohannan blocks shots. I can just about guarantee Floyd, Bohannan and their entire team will want him driving in the post than on the perimeter. Probably give him the open lanes and hope he does.
